Trans Am, Day 14: Love, VA to Lexington, VA

I decided to make today a low-mileage rest day.

When I got up this morning to continue on the Blue Ridge Parkway, I was struck by how much I am enjoying this tour. I’ve settled into a routine. I know where everything is, and I can pack mostly on autopilot.

The Parkway was still awesome, but the descent to Vesuvius om the Tye River Turnpike was a little harrowing. Fortunately, there was no traffic, but I was really happy I didn’t have to descend with rim brakes, especially if the roads were wet.
